Assisted Living
Morton County Health System Assisted Living is a 21,000 sq. ft. 20 unit facility consisting of 14 assisted living apartments (two 2 bedroom 2 bath; two studio and ten 1 bedroom) and 6 independent living apartments (one 2 bedroom 2 bath; one studio and four 1 bedroom) with spacious living, dining and conversational areas and a in house beauty salon. Our basic resident services are included in the monthly fee and personalized services offered for an additional fee.
Criteria for Admission
· Is
orientated to person, place and time.
· Is
free of communicable disease or infectious condition that resident’s
physician deems won’t be passed to other residents.
· Is
continent and/or is able to manage personal hygiene.
· Is
able to move by self and/or with an auxiliary aid (cane, walker,
wheelchair, etc.)
· Is
cooperative with staff and can follow instructions in emergency
situations.
· Is
able to evacuate self from building within 5 minutes of a sounded alarm.
· Is
able to feed self.
· Is
able to transfer self (standby assistance is available)
· Does
not require staff administered skilled nursing care.
· Does
not require restraint devices for safety.
· Does
not have behavioral symptoms that exceed manageability.

Living apartments have a microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher
while the Independent Living has all the above plus a stove.
· Assisted
Living provides 3 meals a day and Independent Living provides 1 meal
(residents choice breakfast, lunch or dinner)
· Assisted
Living provides housekeeping services where Independent Living does
not.
· Assisted
Living provides Medication Assistance which is not included in
Independent Living.
